House Portraits by Jeri Lynn Hoover

I will paint an original watercolor "house portrait" of your home or of a special someone's home for you to give as a gift. These paintings are especially nice as anniversary presents for parents!  If you are interested in this idea, and have at least one good photograph showing how you want the house viewed in the painting, please contact me and let's get started designing a beautiful painting of a home!

All of my house portraits are originals done in transparent watercolor.  Unless there is a large amount of detail  (as in the trim of some Victorian houses, lots of brick, or abundant landscaping), I charge $110-and up for a size of approximately 10 by 13 inches  (this is for the painting ONLY), or $220 and up for a size of approximately 14 by 20 inches. The dimensions may be a little more or less.  I need to see  your photo before I can give you a definite price.  You need to indicate what season you'd like the house painted in; or what object (s) to omit in the photo, etc.   I'll leave the matting and framing up to you.
As for the business end of this process,  I need a deposit of 50% of the purchase price before I start.  If you should cancel the order before I start painting, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.  If you cancel your order after I start painting, you will lose your deposit.  When I am finished with the project, I will e-mail you a photo.  If you are happy with the painting,  you can send the other 50% (plus shipping and handling), and I'll send your painting.  Please contact me if you have any questions.  Allow approximately 2-3 weeks depending on the complexity of the project, for you to receive the finished product.
